This one is from an older blade I made maybe more than a year ago, and just finished it now. The guard is bronze, and I started it by milling a shallow slot into a piece of stock, then slicing it in half and soldering both pieces together. That gave a good starting point to just clean up the slot to the right size with a tiny end mill.
Steel is N690, 1.8 mm thick, handle is Katalox.
