I made these two pieces for two of my friends, it’s a present for their birthday. Basically it’s a stropping block, but with 4 sides – each can be used with a different grit of polishing paste (they of course can not be used one over another, hence the need for either larger surface of the strop, or more independent surfaces).
There is also a compartment inside of the body of each piece, to store the polishing pastes themselves. The compartments were a pain to make, since it’s basically a very deep hole of relatively large diameter in fairly hard wood. I fried my hand drill, had to buy extra set of forstner bits, had to build an extension for said bits, and cursed profusely while doing all of that.
But all in all, it’s a success. And to whoever says the left handle looks like a dildo: well if it does, go fuck yourself with it.
